We can all agree that Moza and Simagic are 2 of the most well known brands in the Sim Racing community. Both of them are up there for a reason. Let’s break them down and figure out which one is the right fit for YOU.

Moza Racing Sim Racing Gear Ecosystem

Moza Racing – The Accessible Powerhouse

First of all – Moza is the more affordable option. If your main factor in purchasing your sim rig is money, then feel free to finish the reading here and go ahead with Moza, you won’t be disappointed. If not, lets continue.

Overall Moza as a brand is more focused on being the best option for the average sim racer, which is 85% of all sim racers. If you just like cars, want to get the feeling of racing in your free time and look at sim racing more as a hobby – you are the average sim racer. Don’t get mistaken – this doesn’t mean you can’t participate in competitions with a Moza setup – you definitely CAN participate and even win with no problems.

Compatibility – PC and Xbox (only the R3 Bundle is compatible with Xbox).

Simagic Sim Racing Gear Ecosystem

Simagic – The Real Life Replicator

On the other hand – Simagic is more expensive and more focused on sim racers on the professional side of things. Unlike Moza, they don’t yet have an entry level wheelbase – lowest option is the 10nm Alpha Mini.

Simagic is for people who take sim racing a bit more seriously. For the racers who want as close of a feeling to a real life race car. This also doesn’t mean that Simagic is ONLY for professionals, sim racing can be your hobby but you still might want as realistic of an experience as possible. If even the thought of race cars gives you butterflies – Simagic is the answer for you.

Compatibility – PC and PS4 PS5 (compatible with Playstation only using the Sigma Cortex Converter).

Wheelbases

Most often wheelbase is the most important thing in your sim setup. Both Moza and Simagic offer Direct Drive wheelbases. Moza has 6 different options, ranging from 3nm to 21nm, as Simagic only has 3: 10nm, 15nm, 23nm. Both brands are easy to set up and use, and both offer great Direct Drive Force Feedback. Though, people are saying that the Moza’s higher Nm wheelbases has Oscillation.

Pedals

Simagic doesn’t have entry level pedals. Moza has SRP and SRP Lite’s. For mid-high range pedals, Simagic P1000 are more expensive, but are considered better value than Moza CRP, but right now Moza is releasing the upgraded CRP2 pedals and we will see how they perform. CRP’s were also the highest level of their line, but right now they are releasing the mBooster Active Pedals, and we are sure hyped for it! P2000 are Simagic’s higher (highest) level pedals. Both P1000 and P2000 are truly amazing high-end pedals.

Peripherals

Moza only has entry-mid range handbrake and shifters, on the other hand, Simagic only has mid-high range peripherals. Of course, the higher the range the better quality, performance and more realistic feeling, but really depends on your budget, style and needs.

So, Which One?

Both are for sure great value for price. If you want to know which one is right for you, ask yourself this – are you more of the average sim racer, or more on the professional side? From there it’s simple, if you’re average, choose gear that is made for the average – Moza. If you’re more a professional sim racer, choose gear that is made for professionals – Simagic.
