How to Properly Position Your Monitors in a Sim Racing Rig

One of the most common mistakes I see in sim racing setups is poorly positioned monitors. It might not seem like a big deal, but it changes everything.

The center of your screen should be roughly at eye level. If your monitors are too high or too low, your neck and eyes will suffer, especially during long sessions.

Another important detail is the distance from your eyes. If you want a realistic field of view (FOV), use an FOV calculator to measure how far your screens should be, and if you’re running triple monitors, the correct angle matters too.

But here’s my take…

Realistic FOV isn’t everything.

If it strains your eyes or feels uncomfortable, it kills the fun. You want a setup that’s immersive and comfortable. Trust me – the right balance between realism and comfort is where the magic happens.
